Drawing and Painting:
The paper bag rendering is a good exercise to get the observational ball rolling. This week at home I'd like you to set up a similarly crinkled bag and make a drawing in you sketchbook that takes about the same amount of time that we had in class (1.5 hours). I suggest putting it near a strong light source like a lamp or a window. Use pencil and try to not just draw the shapes, but also fill them in with light and shadow.
Mixed Media
At home this week you are to finish your paper prototypes that you started to build in class.
Do your best to make it feel 3-D and use as much tape and paper as you need. Keep in mind that we are going to build the finished version in class out of cardboard, so try not to include too much detail that involves intricate cutting. Still, have fun with it!
